5hrs to get out of Disturbia?

I came across this article about the 400+ miles of new highways proposed about the expanding PHX metro area over the next 40 years.  According to the article, if the new highways are not built…. with urban sprawl and increased population, it will take over 5 hours to travel as far as you can get in 30-60 minutes now.  Is that crazy?  Maybe will have retired to a Kentucky Farm by then.
